Kristen Bell – We Love Your Tattoos!

Kristen Bell recently did a video for FunnyOrDie and in it she lets us all in on a secret to what she and other tattoo celebrities go through for every shoot because of her 214 tattoo designs. The spoof is so right-on, complete with the whole Hollywood Tonight setup and camera shots.
Of course, if you have 214 great tattoo designs, it can take a bit of time to cover them over.So it is off to the makeup gal for 14 hours of covering up. The explanations of why she has the tattoos are priceless, and there was just enough wink-wink, nudge-nudge quality to the various tattoos that you just know instantly who she is referring to!
All in all – a fine bit of acting. Along with some of the best gentle teasing to the tattoo crow I have seen in a long while. Our hats are off to a gal with lots of class; and a great sense of humor. You have to see this one to believe it.
A Pair of Honeymoon Celebrity Tattoos

They may not be the best tattoo designs, but they sure are sweet! I feel like I should be standing on a red carpet with microphone in hand instead of clanking on this keyboard. These two are just about the absolute cutest Hollywood couple – and guess what? They have a set of matching tattoos to celebrate surviving their calamity-prone honeymoon. I guess they just were feeling sentimental about them, because here it is two years later and Channing is still telling the story.
Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan revealed that back in 2009 the couple had gotten matching tattoos that read as “side by side” in the native language. It was while the pair was having their too brief “mini-moon” back in 2009 that they both came down with food poisoning, one after the other. The best tattoo designs were chosen and it was decided on a few days after they recovered. Dewan’s tattoo is on her foot and Channing shows off his when displaying his ribcage for all to admire.
Tattoo Lies? Tell Us It Isn’t So Vanessa
Posted by: | CommentsAlmost every actor, actress, singer or other type of celebrity is getting a tattoo or three these days. That in itself is not exactly the kind of news that will stop the presses anymore. Gone are the days when a picture of someone romping on a beach and accidentally showing off their latest tattoo was the kind of thing to get you into trouble. In fact, it has gotten so routine that studios regularly have it written into contracts where the tattoos can be, and actors have it written into contracts that as long as they can disguise or hide them, all is cool. After all, that is what makeup and CGI is for these days.
But the other night, actress Vanessa Hudgens got into a bit of a pickle on the Tonight Show. The funny thing is it wasn’t as much for a tattoo she had as for a tattoo she didn’t actually have. Because the tabloids were busy showing off Vanessa having a fun time on a beach with her new tattoo, and when Jay Leno quizzed her about it, she admitted it was a fake.
You could have heard a pin drop when she said it. I guess having a fake tattoo these days is just as bad as having a real one in the old days. Personally, I thought she was kinda cute and giggly in explaining how she loves to write all over her body and that this phrase on her foot “All You Need Is Love” from the Beatles song, was just that. She had written it in pen on her foot for fun and then went out on the beach.
But heck – you have to see it for yourself to get the full feel of the faux-pas that almost wasn’t. Check it out here:
And the next time you feel like grabbing that sharpie and writing some favorite song lyric on your body just for fun – tell them Vanessa said it was okay to do! Talk about instant Karma- have an instant tattoo!
Celebrity Tattoos: Rihanna, 50Cent and Dallas Braden
Posted by: | CommentsWell it seems to me that if last year was the year for celebrities getting stupid tattoos, this year has started off with a bang. Now when Rihanna decides that she just has to have her little tribute to Tupac by getting her knuckles tattooed with the words “Thug Life” – well that is her decision. She is an adult and totally allowed to make knuckleheaded decisions like that. When I saw the picture below of her little tribute, I thought for sure she was teasing us all; it looks like pink nail polish on her knuckles, not tattoos.
But then there were some paparazzi pics of her that definitely showed off her knuckles, and this time it looks more like the gal has indeed gone and done the deed.
But the celebrity tattoo bonehead move to beat them all came when boxing champ Floyd Mayweather tweeted pics of his 13 year old son’s new tattoos, which are not small or insignificant.
Of course, part of me is not exactly pleased that Mayweather has bad enough judgment to allow someone like 50cent to “babysit” his son. Yes, I have heard the word –they are good friends and both have sons and have been seen hanging together a lot lately. Doesn’t change the fact the kid is just 13. In fact, without the father to give permission, whoever did the tattoo should not have done it.
But I guess if you are a tattoo artist and 50Cent walks into your place wanting a bunch of tattoos for his friends son, who am I to deny that bit of glory? With any luck, the things will fade in a week or two. But they look pretty permanent in the pics I have seen.
And finally, Dallas Bradan has to have gotten one of the silliest tattoos for any celebrity tattoo I have seen for a while. Dallas is the pitcher for the Oakland As baseball team. He had recently done a commercial shoot with famed baseball pitcher Rollie Fingers and must have been really impressed by the guy. Not long after the shoot, there he was showing off his latest tattoo – of Rollie riding a dolphin over a rainbow. Not sure what the significance of the dolphin and rainbow are – but aren’t they cute?
So it may only be January but I think this may be the biggest year yet for a new batch of weird and wild celebrity tattoos. I guess only time will tell!
Celebrity Tattoos: Demi Lovato

When it comes to celebrity tattoos, most of them love to share the story behind the celebrity tattoo with the rest of the world, and Demi Lovato is no different from the others in that respect.
The singer has had tattoos done before, but she says that this one is a bit different. In a recent Tweet, she sent out to her fans she said, “Sometimes you just to have a little bit of…” and below it was a picture of her new tattoo. She says that she had the word “faith” tattooed on her forearm to remind herself everyday how important that word is.
Like many of the celebrity tattoos we have shared with you here at FreeTattooPatternsOnline this one is a simple word tattoo that Demi had done to keep the faith with her fans. In this case, it was to remind her that her fans kept the faith with her during hard times.
She says that much like the heart she had tattooed on her wrist along with the words “stay strong” they were inspired by her fans who sent her pictures of their heart tattoos while she was in treatment.
She says her fans mean the world to her and she has the tattoos to prove it. “I will never forget the support you guys gave me” she says to her legion of fans across the world. And I guess that the new tattoo is just one more way that she gets to prove it.
Celebrity Tattoo: Kevin Durant Gets Lockout Tat?

When it comes to sports, celebrity tattoos seem to just go hand in hand with just about any sport you can name. Basketball has certainly had its share of players who love their tattoos. Recently Oklahoma City Thunder player Kevin Durant has decided to tweet about his latest tattoo, to commemorate the National Basketball Association’s recent lockout. It turns out that Durant is no stranger to tattoos, having shared via twitter a massive tattoo he had done while whiling away some time during the lockout that left players eager for some kind of past-time while waiting for the owners and players to work out a deal.
The back tattoo he shared with everyone shows the words “Maryland” across the top with an angel below holding a basketball. The hands on either side are displaying on the left three fingers and on the right five fingers to represent his number “35” on the court.
Although as of today’s writing all we have heard is that he plans to get a tattoo on his ribs saying “survived the NBA lockout 2011” there is not yet any word of his having gone ahead with the tattoo, or even if the tentative agreement will hold to have players back on the court by Christmas Day. Just another celebrity tattoo, you may say, but one that for Kevin will be a piece of history.
