But then there were some paparazzi pics of her that definitely showed off her knuckles, and this time it looks more like the gal has indeed gone and done the deed.

But the celebrity tattoo bonehead move to beat them all came when boxing champ Floyd Mayweather tweeted pics of his 13 year old son’s new tattoos, which are not small or insignificant.

Of course, part of me is not exactly pleased that Mayweather has bad enough judgment to allow someone like 50cent to “babysit” his son. Yes, I have heard the word –they are good friends and both have sons and have been seen hanging together a lot lately. Doesn’t change the fact the kid is just 13. In fact, without the father to give permission, whoever did the tattoo should not have done it.

But I guess if you are a tattoo artist and 50Cent walks into your place wanting a bunch of tattoos for his friends son, who am I to deny that bit of glory?  With any luck, the things will fade in a week or two. But they look pretty permanent in the pics I have seen.

And finally, Dallas Bradan has to have gotten one of the silliest tattoos for any celebrity tattoo I have seen for a while. Dallas is the pitcher for the Oakland As baseball team. He had recently done a commercial shoot with famed baseball pitcher Rollie Fingers and must have been really impressed by the guy. Not long after the shoot, there he was showing off his latest tattoo – of Rollie riding a dolphin over a rainbow. Not sure what the significance of the dolphin and rainbow are – but aren’t they cute?

So it may only be January but I think this may be the biggest year yet for a new batch of weird and wild celebrity tattoos. I guess only time will tell!

The singer has had tattoos done before, but she says that this one is a bit different. In a recent Tweet, she sent out to her fans she said, “Sometimes you just to have a little bit of…” and below it was a picture of her new tattoo. She says that she had the word “faith” tattooed on her forearm to remind herself everyday how important that word is.

Like many of the celebrity tattoos we have shared with you here at FreeTattooPatternsOnline this one is a simple word tattoo that Demi had done to keep the faith with her fans. In this case, it was to remind her that her fans kept the faith with her during hard times.

She says that much like the heart she had tattooed on her wrist along with the words “stay strong” they were inspired by her fans who sent her pictures of their heart tattoos while she was in treatment.

She says her fans mean the world to her and she has the tattoos to prove it. “I will never forget the support you guys gave me” she says to her legion of fans across the world. And I guess that the new tattoo is just one more way that she gets to prove it.

The back tattoo he shared with everyone shows the words “Maryland” across the top with an angel below holding a basketball. The hands on either side are displaying on the left three fingers and on the right five fingers to represent his number “35” on the court.

Although as of today’s writing all we have heard is that he plans to get a tattoo on his ribs saying “survived the NBA lockout 2011” there is not yet any word of his having gone ahead with the tattoo, or even if the tentative agreement will hold to have players back on the court by Christmas Day. Just another celebrity tattoo, you may say, but one that for Kevin will be a piece of history.

The first tattoo he spotted was on Professor Sandeep Robert Datta who is a neurobiologist at Harvard. Yes, that Harvard. He has a DNA coiled around his arm and not just any DNA, but one that spells out his wife’s initials. I won’t get into the intricate background of how this is accomplished; just trust me that it all make sense to anyone who is geek enough to understand it. And you would probably have to be a geek to even want to get into how it was done. But the tattoo, shown here, is pretty cool looking.

And then there is Marcus Davis, a developmental biologist at the University of Chicago who is studying the genetic instructions stored in the fins of fish to understand better how they came to develop into things like hands and fingers. He just happens to have the tattoo of a eusthenopteron on his arm, a very old species of fish that was one of those early guys that crawled up on land. The kind you see in all the cartoons about evolution.

It turns out that many scientists have etched on their bodies symbols of the passion that rules their lives, the science that draws them out and makes their curiosity a tool to change the world around us. The end result of his conversations with all of these scientists is a wonderful book, which if you are the kind of person, who is curious about science and tattoos, might be just the thing for you. One of the main things he says he would require is that they must clear the tattoo design with him first. He may seem to have a laid-back attitude about his kids, which include his stepdaughter Atiana Cecilia who is 12 and his two kids of his own Landon Asher who is 8 and the youngest (for now) child Alabama Luelle who at 5 is probably not getting a tattoo any time soon. But he says he is pretty clear about the rules and the kids know they would have to clear any tattoo designs they wanted with him first.

“It can’t be a tramp stamp” says the Dad when talking about his kids and the tattoos they might be getting, “It can’t be something in bad taste.” I guess that would have to be clarified when the time comes, but he says that if the tattoo design is done in good taste and by one of the better tattoo artists he would be good with it once they are sixteen.

So what about your kids? Do you have rules with your kids about what age they can have a tattoo design done? How about the decision to choose which tattoo artists they want to have design it? How much control can a parent have about something as personal as a tattoo design on their kids?

She admits that they are addictive and even though her friends have asked her to really think about this, she is adamant that a full back tattoo is something she sees in her future. She says that people she have what they want and that she considers tattoos art. “What’s beautiful is being you” says the star.

Well I for one think she should either do the deed or stop talking about it. Plenty of other starts have had full back tattoos, what is stopping her from getting one? If she doesn’t think she can sit that long for one, she can do it in stages, plenty of people do. I think she is just making noise, but doesn’t have what it takes to go beyond those little cutie ones she has so far.
