I do believe the Celtics had it right. I know the church adopted many different icons from other religions to convert the "heathens" to their belief. In my opinion any religion that is based on a man, might be slightly off. The belief systems of most of the older religions are based on what they can see and touch. I think that's the right way to go. I think back in the day when Jesus came along there was a really good con man that took everybody's money. And in my opinion the church with all there money grubbing way's has just continued to take and take to this very day. The church does do good now and again, but truthfully wouldn't it be a lot better for belief in yourself, and what you can touch.

The church has been shown to take several pagan symbols and incorporated them into Christianity to make the pagan believers feel more comfortable within the church. They even went so far as to take the Horned God of nature based religions and use him for their model of their devil.
